The excitement of my least favorite holiday (except for the part where Jesus rose from the dead and saved us all) began on Good Friday.
Cooper brought home his school bag full o' Easter loot, including the bunny ears that remained permanently attached to his noggin until they broke on Saturday midday.
Our Easter bunny didn't so much like the paparazzi.
Saturday morning, our friend Shelly dressed up as the Easter Bunny and met us up at Starbucks for a "surprise" Easter bunny party. Much fun was had by all the kids and most adults, and Cooper stepped in a gigantic pile of dog poo on his way down the sidewalk, so he walked around in one shoe the rest of the morning.

Griffin didn't like the big rabbit.
Then my sons were trained in the fine art of gardening and forced to help me in my garden while their father got to mow the grass (lucky).

For Griffin, a more true statement was never said. I should contact the Life is Good people and offer him up as their spokesbaby.
Then of course Easter morning we had the requisite Easter egg hunt, no dog poo involved in this one.

So there you have it! Another lovely Easter celebration and too much candy for one small child to absorb into his system.
I think the Mars corporation is in some sort of cahoots with Hallmark and the dentist's union to make every holiday all about candy.

Now for us it IS all about the dog poo.
